The actress was born on October 10, 1988, in Auckland, New Zealand as Frances Rose McIver. She was born the youngest daughter of photographer John George Whitfield ‘Mac’ McIver and mother artist Ann ‘Annie’. Her parents still reside in the house where she grew up in Titirangi. Additionally, she has an older brother, Paul McIver, who is also a former actor and musician.
